      I’d been using a very expensive probiotic to tackle gut issues, it had also kept thrush at bay, an issue I often experienced following menstruation. I discontinued and for a long while never had thrush. After a more recent bout of gastric flu, I went back on them, but this time when I discontinued, I very quickly had thrush again following a period. I believe this is because I am now perimenopausal.
